My Story

My name is Evie Berg, and I own Empower Change. I started Empower Change after recovering from my own eating disorder which was caused by the pressures of the industry when I began my dive into the equine industry at my equine college.

For me, my eating disorder developed in a quick and very overwhelming way, I lost a lot of weight and my mental health went completely down the drain. Because of what I was going through I felt very isolated and couldn't communicate what I was struggling with, because it wasn't a conversation I had heard anyone talk about in an open way within the sport. This is why I began Empower Change, I want young equestrians to be raised in an environment where communication is imperative and the possibility of developing an eating disorder is lessened by the conversations being open.
